The Grunge Look

Hey there :)

Today, I felt like putting on a darker make up, which wasn´t too dark for a normal day. I wanted to try the grunge look for a while now and a just gave it a go today.

Eyes:
- UDPP (all over the lid)
- Cosline Eyeliner "Aubergine" (blended around the lashes and waterline)
- Alverde "chocolate" (whole lid + blended in the crease + underneath the eye)
- Sleek "Storm" aubergine (centre of the lid on top of Alverde "chocolate" + underneath the eye)
- Rival de Loop "white coffee" (under eyebrow)
- Maxfactor False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara

On the cheeks I am wearing a Sleek blush in "Suede" and on the lips Revlon lip butter in "Raspberry Pie".

I am really in love with this look. I like the aubergine on the lid, but it´s still very settle and not too bright. How do you like the grunge look? What do you think of the make up?

NOTD: Million Dollar Baby lost in mud

Hey there :)

As it is getting cold and rainy now, I´m wearing all those taupe, burgundy and brown colours on my nails again. Today, I went for Catrice "Lost in mud", but as I found it a bit too boring, I added Catrice "Million Dollar Baby" Topcoat as an ombre effect to my nails.

I am absolutely in love with this easy and quick, but still effectful design. How do you like it? What are your favourites in autumn?

Germany Haul

Hey there :)

I know it´s been a long time since I´ve been around, but now I´m settled in my new home and job and feel good enough to blog again.
As you may know, I have been to Germany in August and, of course, I did some shopping. To be honest, I didn´t buy too much as I had to bring back lots anyway.

So here we go!

Nails

Manhattan Yeah&Yang LE "cherry blossom" (left) - a really nice, pinky coral, very simple but still elegant
Manhattan Super Nails "Superb Sparkle" LE (right) - a black nail polish with lots of purple glitter in it, I can´t wait to wear it!

Catrice "Mermaid my day" (left) - a blue with silver, metallic shimmer
Catrice "Miami pINK" (right) - a sheer pink with lots of pink shimmer

Essie "bordeaux" - a proper bordeaux, which is unfortunately a nightmare to apply as it gets very stripy and uneven

Eyes

very left: Manhattan Eyeshadow Cream "Ballroom Babe" (LE) - caramel, light brown with metallic shimmer

all P2 from left to right:
"Powerfull Asia" - light purple with glitter, easy to blend
"Petrol" - a deep blue with hints of green
"Brown" - a rich chocolate brown

 Lips

left: Clarins Eclat Minute "05": Oh, I love them so much and when I saw them at the duty free section at the airport, I couldn´t resist! This is a light coral and it smells as delicious as the other ones. I´m a sucker for these babes.

right: Essence "wear berries!" - a berry purple, which is just perfect for the autumn

This was my little Germany haul. Do you know any of these brand? Would you like to see more about certain prducts and/or brands?

July Haul

Hey there :)

As I have been a really good girl, well kind of really good, I haven´t purchased very much make up this month, I was more looking for clothes and shoes. However, I´d like to show you the items I bought in July.

MUA Eyebrow Pencil "blonde": I´ve featured it in my last empties post and repurchased it as soon as it was empty. It is easy to apply, matches my eyebrow colour very well and is really cheap. I love it!

Collection 2000 Concealer: I´ve heard so much about this concealer! I always tried to stay strong, but when the last Boots offer (3 for 2) was on, I just couldn´t resist and I´m happy I bought it, as it has a really good coverage and stays in place the whole day. It is also really inexpensive. A very good concealer!

Essie "Naughty Nautical": I love Essie nail polishes and this colour caught my eye. Usually, I wear a nail polish again every couple of weeks, as I just got too many, but this one I´ve been wearing constantly on either my fingers or toes. I´m just so in love!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo "Pink Gold": I had my eye on this for ages now, but I was always too scared, that it would look too similar to Chanel "Emerveille", but after I compared them in the shop, they don´t. So I bought it and I´m so happy about it. It has a nice texture, applies really easily and stays the whole day.

Mac "Sizzlin Diva": I went to Portsmouth with my friend and found a make up outlet with old Mac LEs, so obviously, I had to take a look. I´ve been really good, as I just bought this single item. I always wanted to try a creme eyeshadow by Mac and I really liked the colour as it can be build up to a darker bronze. I´m really excited to play with it a bit.

Mac Mineralized Blush "Simmer": My first mineralized product by Mac and I really like it. The colour is amazing, the texture really soft and the pigmentation just stunning. Really have to get more of these.

What did you pick up in July? Do you love the Mac mineralized products as much as I do?

Empties #2

Hey there :)

I can´t believe it! July is over! And in August, a lot will be happening in my life, I´m going home to Germany for a 2-week holiday, I move and I start a new job. I´m so excited! And what else does it mean? Yes, it´s time for a new Empties post. This month I tried to use up some make up products, I´ve been having for ages and it worked.

Shave Gel Sainsbury´s: I´m always using this one, it´s my go-to shaving gel and I don´t know how often I already repuchased it. It only has a light scent and moisturizes my legs while shaving and it´s really inexpensive. Repurchased

Batiste Dry Shampoo: My 7th bottle, I still love it and I already talked about this one in my last Empties post. Repurchased

Simple Facial Toner: I don´t really have big problems with my skin, so I don´t need a toner that helps with pimples and spots. I simply use it to refresh my skin in the morning and to take of the last bits of make up after my cleanser. It is 100% alcohol free and I´m always using it. Repurchased

Boots Cleansing Wipes: I´ve been using them for the last year now and it is perfect for removing the first bits of make up. Repurchased

Mandara Spa Bodybutter: It was a present and I didn´t like the smell of cream, cos that is how this one smells. It moistened my skin quite well, but I just don´t like the scent.

Essence Better than Gel nails Topcoat: A clear topcoat, which I have already repurchased 4 times. Unfortunately, they changed the formula, so I don´t really know if I will repurchase it again or not.

Essence "like a day in candy shop" perfume: My brother gave it to me and I always had it with me when I went away on the weekends. It is a nice soft scent, which is not too heavy. Perfect for every day.

Alverde Eyebrowgel: My favourite eyebrowgel as it is transparent and lasts the whole day. I´ve been using it for 2 years already and just repurchased my 5th package of it.

MUA Eyebrow pencil "blonde": The exact colour of my eyebrows, lasts the whole day, easy to apply and very cheap. What else to say?! Repurchased

NYX Eyebrow pencil "taupe": This was the one I used before I found the MUA one and I loved it, but  unfortunately, it is a tiny bit too dark for me.

Urban Decay Primer Potion: I bought this one over a year ago and loved it, but I have other primers, which are as good as this one and way cheaper. Top, but I won´t repurchase it.

What have you used up recentely?

Products worth the hype

Hey there :)

After I told you which products are not worth the hype, I´d like to show you now which products, I think, are definitely worth the hype.

Clarins Lip Perfector shade 01: I don´t really like lipgloss and I resisted the hype, but then I saw my favourite youtube girl using it and I just had to buy it. It doesn´t really give much of a colour, but it makes the lips look so lush and moisturized. If I wore a lipstick that mad my lips a bit dry, I just use this one the day after and my lips are all nice again. The scent is also really nice, quite sweet, but nice. Definitely worth the money!

Revlon Lip Butter "Sorbet": Oh, I´m a sucker for the Revlon lip butters. They give this nice tint and shine to the lips and the colour range is simply gorgeous. I have 3 shades and I´d love to get more, but I just have enough lipsticks.

Rimmel Apocalips "Stellar": I already wrote a review about them. Click here.

Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara: Everyone talked about this mascara. It is well known that Maxfactor mascaras are really good, but this one especially. It gives so much volume, without making all my lashes stick together. This is the waterproof version and it stays on for ages. It is quite difficult to remove it and can be quite annoying if you just want to go to bed, but the effect is worth it. Next time, I´ll probably try the version which isn´t waterproof.

Collection Concealer "Fair": I have seen it on so many blogs and in so many youtube videos, I stopped counting. Everyone just seems to love it and I have to admit, since I have it, I love it, too. It has a high coverage, lasts the whole day and is cheap.

Essie "Mint Candy Apple": The perfect mint! It is one of Essies bestsellers and I can understand why. It needs two layers for an even finish and lasts up to 5 days. I don´t know how often I´ve been wearing it since I´ve got it, but my other nail polishes must feel really left out.

What are your worth the hype products? Do you love these products as much as I do? Or did you resist the hype?

Lots of love
